History

When we opened our doors in 1967 we made one part – a simple valve guide. Today Superior Air Parts, Inc., has over 2,000 parts in our catalog, making us the world's leader in aftermarket parts for Lycoming and Continental engines.

Every part we sell is FAA-approved and meets the latest FARs . Each one is painstakingly manufactured from the most advanced materials to meet the highest design tolerances possible in order to withstand the stresses encountered by today's piston engines. We just don't make replacement parts; we make better parts.

Our goal is to be the very best at delivering quality, value and service to our customers. A commitment that is summed up by our Company Vision. Adopted in 1998, our Vision guides everything we do – every system, process, procedure, operating principle, even our values and behaviors within our company, are guided by those words.

Today, Superior Air Parts is owned by Thielert AG, of Hamburg , Germany . Thielert is a global leader in the development, manufacturing and distribution of advanced jet fuel piston engines for the general aviation market. This solid foundation allows us to enjoy a very stable and healthy position, which will permit us to continue to expand our product offerings to meet the needs of our customers.
